Super Scientists in P2! ❤️

P2 have turned into super scientists this week after reading the story of The Gingerbread Man.

In the story the gingerbread man could not cross the river so a fox offered to help him. We thought about what would happen to the gingerbread man if he swam across the river instead and got wet? 🤔

We thought he might crumble, melt or float. We placed a gingerbread man in water and observed the changes after some time had passed. He floated on the water then after a few minutes, began to sink to the bottom. We talked about how the gingerbread man had absorbed the water!! They also turned white and the water changed colour to a yellow shade. When we poked the gingerbread man, he crumbled into pieces! 🫢

To top off the week we decorated our own Gingerbread people! Look at our yummy creations. 😋
